  10. Haha I love the all the hating on arts from what I can assume are students who are learning all these 'skills' but have NO idea and will never know how to actually apply them and interact in the real world. What ever are you going to do when someone doesn't tell you what and how to do something and you have to figure it out for yourself?

  11. ^ We learn how to think logically about the challenges we face and the methods we know (or know exist) for accomplishing our task. We learn to think critically so that we can do more than find an answer that works -- we can understand the implications of our work and how we can be more efficient. More than that, we learn how to put in the time and effort required to solve complex problems without being deterred by failure early on. Seems to me that those are some pretty damn applicable "skills" in the real world.

  12. ^^What are you talking about? We have 6 co-op terms, if anything we have more of an oppurtunity to apply real life skills. Don't judge based one what other people say.

  13. @10 if we dont have any usefull skills irl, why do we get all the co-op placements?

  14. @13 To be fair Arts has a very high acceptance for work placements. And everyone stop the hate; how many times do we need to uselessly argue about which faculties are best? It's such a fucking boring topic, you think everyone hasn't heard your points before?
