OVERHEARD:
Girl yelling at her parents who just drove in from a different city to drop off groceries: "Mom I can't believe you bought me decaf coffee! The whole point of coffee is the caffeine!"

  1. Be glad you got coffee at all. Spoiled!

  2. @1 I wouldn't consider myself spoiled at all, and I've even been to a food bank before, but I would also be a little miffed if someone bought me decaf. In university, the entire point basically IS the caffeine, I certainly don't drink it for the taste! If my parents didn't realize that I would definitely tell them for next time.

  3. @2: Then the girl should have done her own freaking groceries. We're in university, we should be able to do groceries.

  4. Would you like the food bank to stock caffeine products?

  5. maybe the girl's parents are first generation immigrants..?
my mom knows how to read, but because english not her first language, she doesn't pay attention to them. she hates when companies repackage items. then she has to actually read the labels until she gets used to their new look.

  6. @3 I've had my parents buy me groceries because it was inconvenient for me to do it where I was living. Plus, the grocery stores at home are much cheaper. That being said, I'm sure it isn't hard to find a grocery store near the school...
