What is funny or at all noteworthy about this....I just listened to ~30 seconds of an Arkells song on youtube and I don't get why people would shove during an Arkells show.
You obviously don't listen to a lot of live music. It's miles different than the docile super-produced recording you hear on a digital version. Choruses of Arkells' songs are full of energy and guitar riffs, perfect for moshing.
I actually had a guy get pissed at me at Phil's the other night because I "danced too close" to him and I guess I bumped him a little. This was well past midnight by the way, when the dancefloor was shoulder-to-shoulder packed. Seriously, if you don't like having people in your space then don't go somewhere crowded. Geez.

DeleteI feel like I shouldn't dignify this with a proper rebuttal.
DeleteMy comment (1b) was directed at 1a just to be clear
ReplyDeleteThat's like going to a club and not dancing. People go to concerts to jump around and push people.

DeleteWHY IS THIS ALLOWED TO BE A THING?
ReplyDeleteIt rattles me. If you can't deal with this type of behaviour - regardless of genre - don't bother going to concerts!!
